Book Drives

Who can run a book drive?

Anyone! Schools, community service groups, religious organizations,  neighborhood associations, and various community groups have all helped us in running book drives.  Any group of individuals can make one happen.  We also love leftovers from large used book sales.

Need help with advertising, boxes for collecting the books?  Just tell us and we can help.

What books are we looking for?

We are looking for new or very gently used books only.

We need books from board books through high school reading.  Our greatest need is for picture books, early readers and chapter books for elementary school readers.

What books are we not looking for?

Old books OR books in poor condition (yellowed pages, written-in, broken bindings)

Textbooks

Outdated resource/nonfiction books (e.g., atlases dated before 2005)

Old encyclopedias (pre-2006)

Magazines/Used Workbooks
